In Irish Light
50 color and black and white photographs by Connie Scanlon and James Fraher

Residing in the west of Ireland in County Sligo during a two-year sabbatical, James Fraher and Connie Scanlon developed a unique sensitivity to the country of their ancestors, friends and relations. This exhibit of black and white and color photographs marks a sharing of this personal connection to the culture, beauty and spirit of Ireland.

Since 1982, they have frequently returned to create portraits, landscapes, details and street photographs in a variety of locations including Counties Clare, Donegal, Sligo, Wexford, Galway, Mayo, Tipperary, Cork and Kerry. Events such as The Willie Clancy Music Week, The Ballinasloe Horse Fair and the Dublin Iveagh Market are featured. Special sections of the exhibit feature images captured by Fraher during a 24-hour period for the book,
A Day in the Life of Ireland and a series of evocative images taken in The Long Room at Trinity College.

In Irish Light contains 50 prints in 16 x 20 frames. Print titles appear in a second matt window below each photograph, allowing the exhibit to be easily installed.
