The Blues is a Feeling is a photography book for followers of blues music, photographic book collectors and readers interested in African-American studies in music and culture. The 100 black and white duotone photographs by James Fraher are accompanied by quotations selected from interviews Fraher conducted with each musician he photographed. Designed by Bogfire's Connie Scanlon, the book is 160 pages in length and includes Sunnyland Slim, Willie Kent, Junior Kimbrough, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Texas Johnny Brown and many more of the originators and purveyors of traditional blues styles including both country and urban blues artists.
